On the afternoon of June 6 (local time), a roundtable conference was held at the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic to solidify the strategic partnership and enhance cooperation in education, training, science, technology, and innovation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
Led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc of Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training, the delegation included Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Hang, Director of VAA. This visit aimed to deepen educational, scientific, and technological cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, with a particular focus on the aviation and high-tech fields.
At a roundtable held in Prague, Director Nguyen Thi Hai Hang signed a landmark cooperation agreement with Tomas Bata University in Zlín, witnessed by senior officials from both countries’ education ministries and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. This agreement underscores VAA’s leadership role in expanding international linkages, particularly in aviation technology research related to its operations. The collaboration framework encompasses key initiatives, including faculty and student exchanges spanning undergraduate to doctoral levels, joint research projects focused on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, and the organization of international competitions on drone technology. Additionally, the partners propose a Vietnam-Czech education and research center to foster sustainable academic cooperation.
Aligning with Vietnam’s broader national strategy to strengthen connections between universities, research institutes, and industry players in both countries. It complements other aviation workforce development efforts, such as Vietjet’s cooperation with the Czech F AIR flight school to train pilots under the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards, further enhancing Vietnam’s capacity to meet global aviation demands with highly qualified personnel.
The active engagement of VAA’s leadership not only demonstrates the academy’s dynamic and forward-looking approach but also marks a strategic advancement in positioning Vietnam’s aviation and high-tech sectors on the global stage. As a source of pride and optimism for the country and the broader sector, the collaboration signals a promising future for international talents who reinforce Vietnam’s role in aviation education and research.
