On 7 March 2026, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA), in cooperation with the Vietnam People's Navy, proudly held the graduation ceremony for the EC-225 Helicopter Pilot Class and the DHC-6 Seaplane Pilot Class – Cohort 2.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, Member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hoai An, Director of the Vietnam Aviation Academy; along with military officers, lecturers, instructors, and representatives from related organizations.

In his remarks, Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem acknowledged the dedication and efforts of the instructors, flight trainers, and trainees throughout the programme. He also expressed his confidence that the newly graduated pilots would continue to uphold the courage, professionalism, and proud traditions of the Vietnam People’s Navy while carrying out their future responsibilities.

Representing the Vietnam Aviation Academy, Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Tran Hoai An emphasized that the success of the programme reflects the effectiveness of the long-standing cooperation between the Academy and the Vietnam People’s Navy in developing highly qualified aviation personnel. He noted that the close collaboration between the two institutions has not only enhanced training quality but has also enabled trainees to benefit from advanced training methodologies that meet the evolving demands of operational missions.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating classes, pilot Vu Tran Tuyen delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude to the Navy leadership, the Academy’s management, lecturers, flight instructors, and families who had continuously supported and encouraged the trainees throughout their studies. His sincere remarks recalled a journey filled with challenges, perseverance, and pride—from the first days of training to the moment of graduation.

Throughout the programme, trainees participated in a modern training curriculum combining classroom instruction, simulator sessions, and practical flight training. With the support of international partners in Europe, the programme provided valuable opportunities to experience advanced aviation training standards, enabling trainees to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and professional mindset in a global aviation environment.

Today’s graduation ceremony marks the completion of one chapter and the beginning of a new journey. We are confident that, with the determination, resilience, and sense of responsibility cultivated throughout their training, they will continue to perform their duties with excellence, carrying forward the pride of being pilots of the Vietnam People’s Navy. Through their service, they will contribute to safeguarding Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty and preserving peace and security across the nation’s seas and skies.
